Oliver Goldman

Announcement

We are incredibly sad to announce that Oliver Goldman passed away on 16 May 2015 at the age of 45.

Oliver was a founding partner of Goldman Bailey and a hugely experienced lawyer. Oliver was dedicated to criminal defence work and wholly committed to our firm and our clients.

Oliver was diagnosed with a rare and ultimately aggressive form of cancer at the start of 2013. He fought his illness largely privately but with endless courage and positivity, managing to keep his love of life throughout. Oliver was a great character, an always-supportive colleague and a true friend to us all. We miss him hugely, but his quirky humour and dedication to our firm and our clients continues to inspire us every day.

We support the following charities in Oliver’s memory. Donations may be made via the links below:

Oliver's Work

Oliver qualified in 1996 and practised in the North West for several years before moving to London. He established Goldman Bailey with Rhean Bailey in 2008 and together they built a successful and thriving firm.

Oliver had wide experience in dealing with criminal defence at the highest level, encompassing the most serious crime and large scale frauds. He was instructed in a case involving the largest ever attempted importation of drugs into the UK.

Oliver defended numerous serious criminal cases, representing clients from the investigation stage at the police station through to the Magistrates' and Crown Court. He was an experienced trial lawyer and a qualified Crown Court advocate. Oliver dealt with many high profile cases which were widely reported and he was known to be committed, approachable and diplomatic in his dealings with clients.
