Motoring Offences

We advise and represent drivers throughout London and the south-east for a whole host of road traffic offences, from speeding through to causing death by dangerous driving. We also have close links with specialist counsel and experts to assist in traffic accident reconstruction and scene surveys.

Disqualification from driving

The loss of your licence can impact both work and home life and we are experienced in advising those at risk of disqualification, including drivers who accumulate 12 penalty points within three years under the 'totting' provisions. We assist in preventing or minimising periods of disqualification, including advice as to whether 'exceptional hardship' could be argued to avoid the loss of your licence.

Drink driving offences

We frequently deal with a range of offences including being 'drunk in charge' and failing to provide a specimen. Stricter penalties apply than in most other areas of road traffic law and a disqualification from driving usually follows. Many issues need to be considered, including the police officer's use of equipment and medical conditions. We will also advise whether 'special reasons' could be argued before the court to avoid disqualification.

We are also able to assist in other road traffic cases, including the following:

  • Careless driving
  • Dangerous driving
  • Causing death by dangerous driving
  • Causing death by careless driving
  • Touting for hire
  • Insurance offences
  • Mobile phone offences
  • Public carriage office licences
  • Driving whilst disqualified
  • Speeding
  • Applications for restoration of licence
  • Disqualification for health reasons
