Charges for immigration applicationsWe charge the following hourly rates for immigration applications, although are often able to offer a fixed fee, which will be discussed with you at the outset.
The exact number of hours required depends on many factors including the complexity of your case, the amount of evidence and documentation to consider, and whether you are applying alone or with others. The work will in all cases involve discussing your circumstances in detail and confirming the most appropriate application for you to make; considering which other options may be available; considering any supporting evidence provided, and assisting in obtaining further evidence required, including your own statement and any witness statements; preparing and submitting your application. The fees we charge depend on the type of application and the seniority and experience of your chosen lawyer, and may be higher where urgent or out of hours work is required. They are likely to be in the following range. We also outline below likely timescales for a decision to be made by the Home Office. All figures below exclude VAT, which is charged at 20%, if applicable. Please note the anticipated number of hours and fees are an estimate, as all applications vary. We will provide a more accurate estimate once we have information about your specific case. EEA Settlement Scheme Applications on behalf of EEA nationals and family membersOur fees for these applications typically range from £150 - £600. A decision is usually received within 6 months of the application being submitted. Naturalisation or Registration as a British CitizenOur fees for these applications typically range from £600 - £900. A decision is usually received within 6 months of the application being submitted. Visit Visa Applications, including tourist, marriage, transit and permitted paid engagementsOur fees for these applications typically range from £700 - £1500. Most visit visa applications are decided within 3 - 4 weeks. Applications for Entry Clearance or Further Leave to Remain as a Fiancée, Civil Partner, Spouse, Partner, ParentOur fees for these applications typically range from £1200 - £1700. For entry clearance applications made outside the UK, processing times are usually around 3-4 weeks. For applications made inside the UK, a decision may take up to 6 months or more. Application for Entry Clearance as an Adult Dependent RelativeOur fees for these applications typically range from £1500 - £1700. Most applications are decided within 3 - 6 months. Application for Refugee Family ReunionOur fees for these applications typically range from £700 - £1500. These applications typically take around 3 months to be decided. Application for Settlement (Indefinite Leave to Remain)Our fees for these applications typically range from £650 - £900. These applications take around 6 months to be decided. Application to be recognised as StatelessOur fees for these applications typically range from £900 - £1600. These applications take around 6 months to be decided. Application outside of the Immigration Rules for Discretionary LeaveOur fees for these applications typically range from £900 - £1600. These applications take around 6 months or more to be decided. DisbursementsIn addition to our legal fees, the following costs may also apply: Home Office application fee; Immigration Health Surcharge; Home Office biometric enrolment and/or appointment fees and any add on / priority service fees; any expert fees such as DNA testing fees, interpreter and translator costs, fees for independent expert reports such as medical or country experts. We will let you know at the outset the range of disbursements which may apply to your case, and whether we consider an expert report necessary. Advice and representation in appeals against Home Office decisionsThe costs quoted here do not include advice and assistance in relation to an appeal, if the Home Office refuse your application. If you require advice and representation at an appeal at the First-tier Tribunal, we will charge the same hourly rates as above. The time taken to prepare an appeal varies considerably depending on the issues involved, but is likely to be in the range of 20-40 hours preparation time. This means that on average, our costs will be between £3,000 and £6,000. These figures exclude VAT which is charged at 20%, if applicable. For the appeal hearing itself, we will instruct a specialist barrister to represent you. We work closely with the barrister and in most appeals will arrange a meeting with you and the barrister before the hearing. Costs for the barrister are likely to be in the range of £1,000-£5,000 plus VAT, depending on the seniority of the barrister and the complexity of the case.
